Behind the hitting of Ryan Burns, the New York City Blues stopped the Salt Lake City Coyotes, 6-3. Burns went 3 for 5 with a triple and a double for the Blues. Hector Chairez recorded the save, his 1st. The Blues, at 17-19, sit in 4th place in the Atlantic Division.
Dan Stricklin drew 1 walk against the Coyotes. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put New York City in front, 4-3.
"It was our day today," Stricklin told the New York City Citizen. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
