Knights Earn Late Win
The Los Angeles Knights bested the Philadelphia Keystones, 5-4, at Keystones Stadium. Paul Shumate was one of the standouts. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. David Gandarilla claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3 innings. His record stands at 4-6. Los Angeles is now 15-21.

Shumate had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-1 knuckle curve from Roger Cobos, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Knights a 5-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Shumate.

Los Angeles manager Michael Edelman called it "a darn good win."
