Warriors Best Peanuts in Pitching Duel
|
Tyler Anderson was locked and loaded, helping the Washington Warriors beat the San Francisco Peanuts, 2-1. Gennaro Velo picked up his 12th save of the season. The win makes Washington 20-16.
Pat Daniel, who is tied for 9th in the PBC with a .433 on-base percentage, took San Francisco hurler Sam Conroy deep in the bottom of the seventh. His solo home run put the Warriors on top, 2-1. In all, Daniel had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
Daniel attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
