Will Good, But Not Good Enough, in 9-7 Loss
|
The Las Vegas Aces got a superb performance from catcher Jordan Will, but the Dallas Texans still won the game, 9-7. Will went 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Steve Aubin earned the win for Dallas. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 10. With the win, he raised his record to 4-3. Billy Zehnder saved it for Dallas.
Dallas got a big at-bat from Grand Point, Louisiana native Craig Wells, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Texans ahead, 7-0.
"I don't care about style points," Wells said. "I only care about winning."
Dallas is now 12-16, Las Vegas 14-14.
