Top R Reliever Honored Saturday, October 18th , 2008 At the young age of only 21, Chris Thompson has been named the PBC Rookie Complex League Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2008. The future appears bright for the San Francisco (R) Peanuts relief ace, who captured the award with 12 saves in 36 relief appearances, 90 strikeouts in 64.2 innings and a record of 4-1 to go with his 0.97 ERA. He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Danny Lee of the Houston (R) Mavericks finished second in voting, while Jose Tomsik of the Salt Lake City (R) Coyotes finished third.
