San Francisco (R) Peanuts Take Rookie Complex Cup Tuesday, October 7th , 2008 The San Francisco (R) Peanuts ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder 14-2 to win the Rookie Complex Cup. San Francisco (R) won the series 4-2, capturing the title for the 1st time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said San Francisco (R) manager Tyler Rohrback. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 55-33 and claimed first place in the West Division. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and shortstop Brandon Davenport said the Peanuts have "great fans and they deserve this."
