Davenport 5-for-5 Against Mavericks Thursday, August 28th , 2008 The Peanuts whipped the Mavericks, 19-6, at PBC Rookie Development Complex and Brandon Davenport had a big hand in the win. The Peanuts shortstop came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Davenport and a tough day for Houston (R). "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Davenport delivered -- 5-for-5 is outstanding in any league. Brandon Davenport doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in a run in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
