Putthoff Red-Hot, R Player of the Week Monday, July 14th , 2008 Joe Putthoff went on a week-long tirade against the PBC Rookie Complex League pitchers and was acclaimed the Player of the Week. The Boston (R) shortstop was hot as a firecracker, exploding with a .600 average, 1 home run and 7 RBIs. For the week Putthoff bashed out 15 hits in 25 at-bats and scored 10 runs. In 30 games this season, Putthoff is batting .443 with 51 hits and 7 home runs. He has scored 37 runs and driven in 27. |
