League Suspends Gonzalez and Bedwell for Fisticuffs Sunday, July 13th , 2008 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Dallas (R)-Toronto (R) contest at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The Texans Carlos Gonzalez and the Titans Bill Bedwell will have to sit out 4 and 5 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Gonzalez is batting .273 this season in 30 games with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 99 at-bats. This year, Bedwell has compiled a 0-0 record with a 6.61 ERA in 1 starts. |
