Los Angeles (R) Loses Josh Copeland for Season Friday, July 4th , 2008
The doctors have spoken and Josh Copeland of the Los Angeles (R) Knights didn't like what he heard. The 17-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Copeland sustained his season-ending injury during the Salt Lake City (R) Coyotes game yesterday at PBC Rookie Development Complex. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Los Angeles (R) medical staff reported Copeland had bone chips in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
This year, Copeland has compiled a 1-2 mark with a 2.93 ERA in 6 starts.
