Mavericks Blanked by Erez Saturday, August 18th , 2007 Matt Erez hurled a fine game for the Franklin Knights at Ballpark of Franklin, holding the El Paso Mavericks to 2 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Franklin manager Jeff Cop said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The right-hander had 16 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 6-0 victory. "An outstanding job," El Paso manager Kevin Walton said. "We couldn't get anything going.
