Ding-bong Ts'ong Says Farewell to Baseball Tuesday, October 7th , 2008 Ding-bong Ts'ong of the Oilers is hanging it up. The veteran reliever reportedly told team officials yesterday that he would not return for another season. "The time has come for me to give up a game I love dearly, but the time is right. Baseball has been good for me and I hope I have been good for baseball." "While we are disappointed Ding-bong will not be playing for us next year, I have a tremendous amount of respect for him and the way he went about this decision," said the Oil City general manager. In his career, Ts'ong has a 4-11 won-lost record with a 3.92 ERA. In 74 games he has recorded 3 saves, and the 37-year-old has 121 strikeouts in 108 innings. |
