Grays Win Division Championship Series Saturday, October 4th , 2008 The Providence Grays and Dallas Bulls didn't hold back anything in the Division Championship Series, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the Amateur Circuit Cup. Providence won the final game by a score of 9-3 at Dallas Park and that concluded the series, 2-1. "Relief is the biggest thing," Providence catcher John Richardson said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Dallas deserves credit for the hard fight." Richardson paced the Providence offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .385 with a .429 on-base percentage, 0 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Providence Grays will play against the St. Petersburg Pelicans in the next round. St. Petersburg had a bye in the Division Championship Series.
