Dallas Stops Lillie Hit Streak Friday, September 12th , 2008 David Lillie's 20-game hitting streak was snapped at Atlantics Ballpark. The 24-year-old Brooklyn Atlantics second baseman failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats in the game against the Dallas Bulls, but Brooklyn came out the winner, 3-0. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to David," Atlantics manager Jimmy Brown said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." Thus far this season in 73 games, Lillie is batting .290 with 10 home runs, 45 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 78 hits in 269 at-bats. |
