Tulsa's Wahlquist Chosen ABC Batter of the Month Friday, August 1st , 2008 When Zach Wahlquist stepped up to the plate in July he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Amateur Baseball Circuit Batter of the Month award. The young Tulsa left fielder posted a .364 batting average with 8 home runs, 18 RBIs and scored 21 runs. Wahlquist also worked pitchers for 32 walks to post a .533 on-base percentage. This year, Wahlquist is batting .365 with 50 hits, 12 home runs, 27 RBIs, 41 walks, .511 OBP and has scored 29 runs. |
