Cutthroats Advance to Pro Circuit Cup Monday, October 13th , 2008 The Denver Cutthroats are off to the Pro Circuit Cup. By a final score of 8-2 at Cutter's Cove, Denver ended the Cup Qualifier and knocked out the San Francisco Peanuts by a series score of 4-2. "Two great teams, only one can go on and we're happy that's us," said Alfredo Negrete, who was named series MVP. "There's no easy games, no easy series in the Professional Baseball Circuit playoffs." For the series, Negrete hit .412 with a .476 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Denver Cutthroats will play against the Boston Shamrocks in the next round.
