Shamrocks Win Cup Qualifier Saturday, October 11th , 2008 The Boston Shamrocks have beaten the Tampa Bay Thunder and will advance to the Pro Circuit Cup. Boston won the final game by a 10-6 count to take the series 4-1. The Shamrocks triumph was no doubt in large part because of the performance of center fielder Bas Rutten, who was named MVP of the series. "The only thing that matters is that we're off to the next round and one step closer to a Pro Circuit Cup," he said. The Boston Shamrocks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Denver Cutthroats - San Francisco Peanuts series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Pro Circuit Cup is scheduled to begin on October 15th , 2008.
