Postseason Bid Ends for Atlanta Sunday, September 21st , 2008 It's not quite the championship run that fans in Atlanta might have envisioned. The Atlanta Pilots were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "There are a lot of good clubs in Professional Baseball Circuit and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Pilots manager Andrew Scharbach. This is the 4th time in a row that the Pilots have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2004. |
