Will Bruhn Captures PBC Hitter of the Year Award Sunday, November 9th , 2008 St. Louis's Will Bruhn put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 2008 Professional Baseball Circuit Hitter of the Year Award. The 27-year-old veteran scorched the opposition with a .384 average, picking up 132 hits, 36 doubles, 5 triples, 9 home runs and 49 RBIs, while scoring 88 runs. He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 16. Darnell Phillips of the Tampa Bay Thunder finished second in voting, while Tim DeVries of the Houston Mavericks finished third.
