Chicago Picks Up Another L
|
The Las Vegas Aces picked up a win at Trident Field, dropping the Chicago Blackhawks, 4-3. Josh Columbus, who is tied for 3rd in the WC in quality starts with 11, was the difference-maker. Columbus yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-5. T.J. Bacon closed it out for his 1st save.
Jorge Moreno, who led the EC in triples with 6 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Moreno contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Las Vegas up, 4-0.
"Josh was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Las Vegas manager Julian Riegel.
Chicago, at 22-37, has lost 7 straight.
