Blackhawks Best Warriors, 6-3
|
Chicago third baseman Matt Johnson helped his team beat the Washington Warriors, 6-3. Johnson went 3 for 5 for the Blackhawks. The winner was Jake Moore in relief. His record improves to 11-5. John Hunter took the loss. Chicago is now 37-45, Washington 50-32.
Chicago used the bat of Bobby Cournoyer to get the win. The right fielder spanked a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Blackhawks ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
Johnson told a Chicago Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
