Pilots, Cowan Pin Bad Loss on Shamrocks
|
The Atlanta Pilots polished off the Boston Shamrocks by the score of 10-2. The largest share of the credit belonged to left fielder Keith Cowan. Cowan was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 6 for the Pilots. The winning pitcher was 26-year old left-handed pitcher Kirk Garcia. He tossed 96 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 1 hit. The win has Atlanta at 27-44.
