Lions Earn 6-3 Home Win
|
Paul Easterling, who leads the WC in wins with 10, had a strong outing for the St. Louis Lions against the Denver Cutthroats at The Lions Hearth. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Easterling, the winner, moves to 10-4. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. The win boosted St. Louis to 38-30.
The Lions got a big at-bat from center fielder Julius Walker. For the game, Walker was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave St. Louis a 3-1 lead.
