Titans Get One-Run Win at New York City
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Toronto Titans and the New York City Blues, pitcher Aaron Sales was the difference between victory and defeat. The Toronto right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Titans win. Mike Murphy closed it out for his 1st save. Toronto goes to 4-2 with the win.
Toronto needed the clutch hitting of Danny Subia to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Titans on top, 2-0. For the game, Subia had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"When Aaron is on, he can really move the ball around," said Toronto manager Nigel Laverick.
