Dallas Bats Quiet in 6-0 Loss
Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Blues Field.

The New York City Blues went home winners at Blues Field, thanks in large part to starter Keith Higdon. Higdon stifled the Dallas Texans, enabling New York City to grab the 6-0 win. The 6th-place Blues improved to 21-30.

Malachi Thompson had a big 3-run home run for the Blues in the bottom of the third inning. With New York City leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Christian Goyer, who is tied for 3rd in the WC with a 10.5 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 12th home run of the season, which put the Blues on top, 5-0.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Higdon.
