The Boston Shamrocks picked up a win at Cutter's Cove, courtesy of Francisco Chavez. The right-hander helped his team stop the Denver Cutthroats, 2-0. The winner was Chavez. He threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Terry Tyson. Luke Dickerson got credit for the save for Boston. It was his 9th of the year.

The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from left fielder Naoto Sugahara. For the game, Sugahara went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Boston a 1-0 lead.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Sugahara told the Boston Daily.

The third-place Shamrocks now have a record of 24-22.
