Win Makes Boston 22-20

Not everyone stuck through the 28-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Boston Shamrocks starter Francisco Chavez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the San Francisco Peanuts, 5-3. Chavez yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-6.
The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from catcher Mike Dodds. For the game, Dodds was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Boston a 4-2 lead.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Chavez.
The third-place Shamrocks go to 22-20.
