The Los Angeles Knights could not turn a fine performance from catcher Andy Fulton into a win. Instead, the Tampa Bay Thunder prevailed, 7-6, in 11 innings. Fulton went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Tampa Bay reliever Jon Flores picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Jason Lightcap was saddled with the loss. The Thunder, at 24-16, sit in first place in the Eastern Circuit.

Ryan Horrocks came through with a big-time hit for Tampa Bay. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Horrocks told the Tampa Bay Herald. "You win just by scoring more runs."
