Las Vegas and New York City duked it out and the Aces came out victorious.

The Las Vegas Aces faced a tough opponent in New York City pitcher Keith Higdon, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Blues Field by a final score of 6-4. Higdon went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win was credited to 27-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Fisher in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Phil Knobbe took the loss.

Matt Carver came through with a big-time hit for Las Vegas. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Carver told the Las Vegas Chronicle.

Las Vegas now owns a record of 17-18.
