Atlanta Nets 3-2 Win Versus Texans
|
The Pilots grabbed a win, 3-2, at The Hangar, overcoming a fine effort from Dallas pitcher Joe Levensailor. Levensailor went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Francisco Sanchez picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Ramon Negrete suffered the loss. The win gives the Pilots a record of 11-23.
Adam Howell was the walk-off hero for Atlanta. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pilots shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Dallas manager Jesus Sanchez said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
