Clous Sharp in 8-0 Shutout
In an outstanding mound performance, San Francisco Peanuts starter Ron Clous fired a complete-game shutout against the Chicago Blackhawks at Trident Field.

Clous was the key to the 8-0 San Francisco win. The 28-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 4 hits and 1 walk he allowed.

"4 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."

In 9 starts this season, Clous has chalked up a 2-5 record and a 4.08 ERA.
