Washington Shuts Out New York City Behind Lund, 1-0
The Washington Warriors did little to support starter Jon Lund against the New York City Blues, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Blues, striking out 6 and surrendering 2 hits. The performance from Lund allowed Washington to escape with the 1-0 win, despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said, 'Jon, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Lund told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."
