Season Possibly Over for Elijah Dunlap Friday, September 28th , 2007 Elijah Dunlap is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the New Orleans organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 6-7 months with shoulder inflammation. The 24-year-old starting pitcher suffered the injury throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Albuquerque Coyotes. Dunlap has posted a 3-3 record for the year with a 3.05 ERA. Teams are hitting .260 against him and he has rung up 110 strikeouts in 88.2 innings. |
