Vanden Burg 5-for-6 for Grays Saturday, September 22nd , 2007 Providence left fielder Kyle Vanden Burg had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Manhattan Liberty at Providence Field as the Grays picked up a win, 13-3. "He was patient up there," Providence skipper Jason Gagliardi told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Vanden Burg has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Kyle Vanden Burg singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. So far this season, Vanden Burg is batting .282 with 10 home runs, 29 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 73 hits in 259 at-bats, 18 walks and a .333 OBP. Vanden Burg has played in 72 games.
