3B Joe Stadler Out Friday, September 7th , 2007 Joe Stadler at first refused to leave today's Boston-Franklin game after he suffered a broken kneecap while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Franklin third baseman said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Stadler out of action for 5-6 months. For the season, Stadler is hitting at a .279 clip with 8 home runs, 22 RBIs and has scored 28 runs. He has 62 hits, 28 walks and a .369 on-base percentage. |
