Boston Snaps Ream Streak at 22 Friday, July 6th , 2007 The hitting streak that Long Beach third baseman Ryan Ream had kept going for 22 games was ended by the Boston Battalion. Ream was stymied over 5 at-bats, but the rest of his team picked him up, getting the 6-2 victory at Long Island Park. "Hitting streaks come and go," Ream said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." Currently Ream is batting .406 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
