Laulainen Joins 3-HR Club Tuesday, June 19th , 2007 Dennis Laulainen went on an explosive hitting spree against the Arlington Stars at Coyote Park, launching a trio of blasts to help the Albuquerque Coyotes win, 13-3. The first baseman finished 3-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 6 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Laulainen said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Arlington skipper Josh Rego said Laulainen was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Dennis Laulainen hit a solo-shot off C.J. Knight in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Carlos Rojas in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Carlos Rojas in the 8th. This season, Laulainen is hitting at a .520 pace with 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and has scored 6 times. |
