Steelheads Win Division Championship Series Saturday, October 13th , 2007 The championship aspirations of the Vacaville Steelheads are still alive and well, while the Southern California Empires are left to wait until next year. Vacaville won the clinching game of the Division Championship Series 1-0 over Southern California at Empires Stadium, to win the series 3-1. "You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said right fielder Zach Rentz, who paced the Vacaville offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit." Rentz claimed the MVP by racking up 4 hits for a .267 average, with a .353 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Vacaville Steelheads don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Allentown Fleetwings - Newark Eagles series. Allentown leads the series 2 games to 1.
