Playoff Bound: Newark Secures Wild Card Tuesday, September 25th , 2007 While you set out to win a division each year, members of the Newark Eagles seemed plenty satisfied with their place as Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit wild card winners. "The East Division crown would have been great, but we're still in a better spot than all the teams that are going home after the regular season is over," said catcher Johnny Wallace. "You can't complain." There was certainly no complaining going on as the Eagles clubhouse was filed with loud music and even louder celebrations following the postseason clinch. |
