Vacaville Trades Wood to Edmonton for Morales Saturday, November 24th , 2007 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Vacaville Steelheads and Edmonton Drillers finalized a trade today. Vacaville will send 21-year old minor league C Dan Wood, 19-year old minor league RHP Joe Dembo, and 23-year old minor league 2B Elijah Wooden to the Drillers, while the Steelheads will receive 31-year old RHP Roberto Morales. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Steelheads general manager Mark Akers said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. |
