Freddy Aguilar Picked SPBC's Best Player Monday, November 5th , 2007 Regardless of where Freddy Aguilar signs on next year, the 31-year-old will be considered a marquee pickup after his award-winning 2007 season with Calgary. Aguilar received word today that he has won the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Most Valuable Player Award. The left fielder pounded out 93 hits, 15 doubles, 1 triple, and 24 home runs while hitting .323 and driving in 65 runs this season. He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 16. Angel Arzola of the Quebec City Admirals finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Vitaliano Brancati of the Mexico City Aztecas finished third with 3 first place votes.
