Senators Swap Clayton to Fleetwings for Leyshon Friday, November 2nd , 2007 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Senators announced today the acquisition of 30-year old LHP Charles Leyshon from the Allentown Fleetwings in exchange for 29-year old 2B Daniel Clayton. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Senators, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." All-time Clayton has played in 125 games, batted .227 with 3 home runs and 35 base hits. To date Leyshon's career stats show a 8-9 record with 4 saves and an ERA of 4.89. He has fanned 191 opposing hitters and held them to a .282 average. |
