Injury Forces Dan Weiss Out Tuesday, October 16th , 2007 Tampa Bay has lost shortstop Dan Weiss for at least 5 months. He was hurt in a game against the Peanuts while colliding with a player at a base and sustained a torn back muscle. His doctors said Weiss will probably be out the rest of the year. This season, Weiss is batting .243 with 77 hits, 18 home runs, 55 RBIs, 43 walks, .332 OBP and has scored 42 runs. He has played in 88 games. |
