Santana Garners EC #1 Pitcher Award Monday, October 1st , 2007 Toronto Titans starter Ricardo Santana has collected the Eastern Circuit Pitcher of the Month award for a run of lights-out performances. "This town really appreciates it when you're going well," said Santana. "They might boo you when you're getting knocked around, but they love you when you're mowin' them down." In September the 30-year-old compiled a 4-0 record in 5 starts with a 1.66 ERA. He threw 38 innings, fanning 37 while walking 13. This season to date, Santana has a record of 10 wins and 8 losses with a 2.73 ERA, has appeared in 22 games and struck out 169 in 151.2 innings. |
