San Francisco-Salt Lake City Swap: Zavitz for Torgerson Sunday, August 26th , 2007 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the San Francisco Peanuts and the Salt Lake City Coyotes have agreed to a deal that will have 23-year old minor league RF Andrew Zavitz heading to Salt Lake City in exchange for 34-year old LHP Edwin Quevedo and 33-year old RF Adam Torgerson. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Torgerson is hitting .350 this year with 8 home runs, 35 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 83 hits in 237 at-bats, 33 walks and a .428 on-base percentage. Torgerson has played in 63 games. |
