Ortiz Sparkles in 6-0 Blanking of Philadelphia Thursday, August 23rd , 2007 In an outstanding mound performance, Washington Warriors starter Jose Ortiz fired a complete-game shutout against the Philadelphia Keystones at Keystones Stadium. Ortiz was the key to the 6-0 Washington win. The 36-year-old left-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 2 hits and 1 walk he allowed. "2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." Up to now Ortiz has compiled an ERA of 4.53 with a 7-5 mark over 16 starts.
