Wermter Is EC's Best Rookie Monday, October 22nd , 2007 All the games have been played, all the votes have been counted and the recipient of the prestigious Eastern Circuit Rookie of the Year Award is Jim Wermter of the Atlanta Pilots. This talented first-year performer hit .295 and put up a .442 OBP. In 88 games this year, the right fielder collected 90 hits in 305 at-bats, 15 home runs, 51 RBIs and scored 63 times. Keith Cowan of the Atlanta Pilots finished second in voting, while Ryan Horrocks of the Tampa Bay Thunder finished third. |
