Allentown Draws First Blood in SPC Classic Series With 5-3 Win
The Vacaville Steelheads got a strong 7 innings from right-hander Scott Lovely but failed to take Game 1 of the SPC Classic Series from the Allentown Fleetwings. Lovely held the Fleetwings to 3 runs on 7 strong innings but Allentown took the game by a score of 5-3 and now lead the best-of-7 series, 1-0.

Adrian Miyares came through with a big-time hit for Allentown. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Allentown manager Craig McCain.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Vacaville in Vacaville.
