Eagles Hammered by Tarter, Drop Game 3 to Fleetwings
The Allentown Fleetwings moved to within one game of the SPC Classic Series, downing the visiting Newark Eagles at Fleetwings Ballpark by a score of 6-5. Fleetwings first baseman Chris Tarter did some major damage. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Fleetwings a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Championship Series.

Allentown took control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Adrian Miyares hit a run-scoring double to make it 4-3, Fleetwings.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Allentown manager Craig McCain said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fleetwings Ballpark in Allentown.
