Raucous Quebec City Grounds Crowd Propels Admirals to 3-1 Victory; Series Tied at 1
|
The Quebec City Admirals took down the Allentown Fleetwings by the score of 3-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Division Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to Quebec City starter Bill Ross, who threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball.
Zack Califano hit a run-scoring double off Scott Daniels in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Admirals in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Califano had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
Quebec City manager Curtis Holtz commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Fleetwings Ballpark in Allentown.
